Donald Ellis III, M.D., to Be Honored with Beacon of Hope Award at Winter Gala

The MyMichigan Health Foundation has named Donald Ellis III, M.D., as the 2026 Beacon of Hope Award recipient, honoring his leadership, compassion, and lasting impact on patients and communities. Ellis will be recognized at the Foundation’s Winter Gala on February 21, 2026, in East Tawas. A family medicine physician at MyMichigan Health Park Oscoda, Ellis has served in numerous leadership roles across MyMichigan Health and the Oscoda School Board and has received multiple professional honors. The Winter Gala is the Foundation’s signature fundraising event supporting patient care enhancements at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas.

Gould, a board-certified nurse practitioner, brings a strong background in emergency department and acute care nursing, where he developed extensive experience treating patients across a broad spectrum of clinical situations. During this time, he discovered a passion for urology, a field that offers the chance to address a variety of conditions and delivery timely, effective interventions. He enjoys having the ability to make an immediate and meaningful impact on patients’ health.
