Major Renovations Begin at Medical Center in June

After extensive planning, MyMichigan Medical Center Sault is preparing for major renovations to its downtown campus. MyMichigan Health is investing nearly $19 million to modernize facilities, improve the patient experience, and ensure the hospital continues serving the Eastern Upper Peninsula for generations to come.

Focus areas of the project include outpatient surgery expansion, behavioral health relocation, and a long-term care remodel.

Recognizing National Stroke Awareness Month

In fact, your risk of stroke doubles every 10 years after the age of 55. This free assessment take less than 5 minutes and will evaluate your long-term risk for stroke based on factors like age, BMI, smoking status, cholesterol, exercise minutes, family history, diabetes and high blood pressure. The tool is designed to help educate you about your personal risk for stroke and provide you with things you can do to mitigate your risk.

Free Lunch & Learn: Colorectal Cancer Prevention & Screening

Community Open House Celebrates New Prenatal Care Program and Expanded Services

The community is invited to learn about a new childbirth program and expanded clinical spaces at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena during an upcoming open house. The free event will be held on Tuesday, June 2, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., and will feature information on the new CenteringPregnancy® Program, guided tours of updated facilities, a meet-n-greet with health care providers and staff, as well as light refreshments.
