Brown Named VP of Nursing for Medical Centers in Gladwin and West Branch

Lanelle Brown, R.N., M.S.N., P. M.H. R.N.B.-C., has been named the vice president of nursing for MyMichigan Medical Centers West Branch and Gladwin.

Brown has been a registered nurse with MyMichigan Health since 2016 and worked previously at Community for Mental Health for Central Michigan in Gladwin as a registered nurse. She earned her master’s degree in Nursing Management in Leadership from Walden University in 2019 while working as a unit manager in Behavioral Health at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

“I became interested in leadership because I truly enjoy seeing how building and supporting strong teams positively impacts patient care,” said Brown. “The Eastern Region is growing rapidly; we have projects recently launched and some in process that will directly improve our patients’ access to care. It’s an exciting time both professionally and as a member of the community.”

Brown belongs to many professional groups and committees including the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, MyMichigan High Reliability Council and the MyMichigan Ethics Committee among others. She is also active in United Way, Relay For Life and as a parent volunteer at school and with the Roscommon Equestrian Team.

She and her husband Mike have been married 20 years and have two daughters. They live on a hobby farm with horses, cows and various poultry. She enjoys being outdoors, trail riding horses, hunting and fishing.
