The second award went to Cliff Anschuetz Chevrolet and Meijer of Alpena.

MyMichigan Health Foundation’s Business Relations Committee awarded two local businesses the 2025 Health Leadership Award. The title is given to companies who are actively committed to promoting their employees’ health and wellness. This year, the award was presented to Cliff Anschuetz Chevrolet and Meijer of Alpena.

“We are recognizing two area businesses this year for their commitment to employee health and wellness,” said Ann Diamond, development director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “Both Cliff Anschuetz Chevrolet and Meijer of Alpena offer their staff members a wide variety of programming and incentives that go above-and-beyond the norm.”

Diamond continued, “Cliff Anschuetz offers a family-oriented work environment with flexible scheduling and work from home option when possible and needed. They encourage fitness by offering a paid APlex gym membership for employees and spouses and have previously held successful weight loss competitions with participants losing over 220 pounds collectively. Meijer offers their employees many programs, such as tuition reimbursement, flexible scheduling, online counseling and paternity leave. At every level, Meijer is dedicated to investing in their employee’s success. Their approaches to health in the workplace are certainly something to celebrate, and we are happy to recognize them for it.”
