Donation of White Noise Machines Enhance Patient Comfort

In a continued effort to support patient well-being, MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas Foundation has donated white noise machines for each of the patient rooms on the Med Surg and ICU floors at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas. The devices help to promote restful sleep, reduce ambient noise, and create a more calming environment for patient recovery.

The donation reflects MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas Foundation’s commitment to improving healthcare experiences through thoughtful, evidence-based support. White noise machines have been shown to help patients fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer, and feel less anxious in unfamiliar or noisy hospital settings.

“We’re proud to contribute to a more peaceful healing environment,” said Michelle Bacarella, fund development specialist, MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas Foundation. “These machines are a simple but powerful way to make patients feel more at ease during their stay.”

Hospital staff have already noted a positive impact with patients reporting better sleep and a greater sense of comfort. This initiative is part of a broader mission by the foundation to enhance care environments and support recovery through practical, patient-centered solutions.
