Fresh from the County Fair: Hog Raffle Winners Announced
The MyMichigan Health Foundation at MyMichigan Medical Center Sault has announced the winners of the first annual Fresh from the County Fair: Hog Raffle. Gavin Cornwell and Christi Brannon are the recipients, each winning half of a processed hog in a fundraiser supporting the Long-Term Care Facility fund.
The raffle, which sold tickets for $10 each with only 1,000 tickets available, concluded with the drawing on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, in the main entrance lobby of MyMichigan Medical Center Sault. The event successfully raised funds to enhance patient care and services at the Long-Term Care Facility.
“We are grateful to our community for embracing this initiative. Every ticket sold contributes directly to improving the lives of patients and supporting our healthcare teams,” said Denise O’Keefe, executive director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “Congratulations to Gavin Cornwell and Christi Brannon. Your support helps strengthen the care we provide to the Sault Ste. Marie community.”
The Long-Term Care Facility Fund ensures the highest quality of care for patients through purchases of essential equipment and patient enhancement items. Local employees Roxanna Rosebohm and Carla Cryderman championed the raffle, highlighting the community impact of participation. Rosebohm stated, “This raffle offered a unique way for our community to make a difference in patient care.” Cryderman added, “It’s not just about winning, it’s about enhancing the well-being of those who rely on our facility.”
