Jana Orr, P.M.H.N.P.-B.C., F.N.P., M.S.N.
Jana Orr, P.M.H.N.P.-B.C., F.N.P., M.S.N., is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and is welcoming new patients at MyMichigan Psychiatry, located at 3007 N. Saginaw Road, on the campus of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
With more than 15 years of experience in mental health care, Orr is dedicated to making each patient feel heard and understood while providing compassionate care to help her patients achieve emotional balance and mental wellness. Orr is passionate about supporting individuals navigating grief, trauma and insomnia. She has a special interest in helping women with postpartum depression and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
“The most important thing for me is making sure my patients feel truly heard and creating a safe space where they can let their guard down,” said Orr. “My own experiences with depression and anxiety from a young age inspired me to pursue a career in psychiatry. I understand what it feels like to struggle, and I want my patients to know they’re not alone. Those experiences allow me to bring genuine empathy and understanding to the care I provide.”
When she’s not working, Orr loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys outdoor adventures during Michigan’s summer months, attending live comedy shows and relaxing with movie nights. From time to time, she also enjoys a fun casino night for a bit of excitement and unwinding.
