New Riverfront Lab in Saginaw offers Patients Faster Access to MyMichigan Laboratory Services
A new laboratory services draw station offers convenient access and fast turnaround of results at MyMichigan Health Park Riverfront, 1015 S. Washington Avenue in downtown Saginaw.
MyMichigan Health has opened a new laboratory services draw station at MyMichigan Health Park Riverfront, 1015 S. Washington Avenue in downtown Saginaw. Operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This new location, owned and operated by MyMichigan Medical Center Saginaw, offers convenient access and parking for routine and specialty lab tests that will be processed at the Medical Center. More advanced testing also is available at this location through a partnership with University of Michigan’s MLabs.
“By keeping the majority of specimens local, we ensure rapid turnaround times—including outpatient STAT testing within two hours—while minimizing transport delays,” said Ziad Daoud, Ph.D., FACSc. SM(ASCP)cm, system director of laboratory services at MyMichigan Health. “Patients and practices alike benefit from our patient-centered services, including local billing support, appointment scheduling, and real-time results access through Epic MyChart.”
MyMichigan has recently assumed full ownership and operational control of its Saginaw, Standish and Tawas area labs to improve customer service, turnaround times and communication with ordering providers’ offices. MyMichigan’s laboratory services are CLIA-certified and CAP- or TJC-accredited, providing the highest standards of accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.
MyMichigan’s Riverfront lab is one of several Saginaw-area locations and more than 30 locations across the health system’s service area. Community members do not need to be current MyMichigan patients to use these labs, as all locations welcome walk-ins with orders from any provider or facility. Many locations also allow patients to self-schedule appointments in advance and minimize their wait upon arrival.
