Community Support Drives Success of Annual Pot O' Gold Raffle
Volunteers from MyMichigan Medical Center Clare gathered June 11 to draw the winning tickets for the Third Annual Pot O' Gold Raffle. Proceeds from the annual fundraiser support patient care initiatives, capital improvements and educational scholarships throughout the Clare community.
The spirit of giving was on full display as community members came together to support the MyMichigan Medical Center Clare Volunteers’ Third Annual Pot O’ Gold Raffle. Four winners were selected during the June 11 drawing, including Stephanie Hernandez, Dorene Jackson, Emily Lilly, and Samara Schreiber. The annual fundraiser generated more than $8,800 for the Clare Volunteers Fund through MyMichigan Health Foundation, benefiting local health care initiatives and future health care professionals.
“Our volunteers are truly the heart of so much that happens at MyMichigan Medical Center Clare,” said Caylyn Pietryga, volunteer services coordinator, MyMichigan Medical Center Clare. “Their kindness, generosity and commitment to serving others make a difference every day. The success of this raffle reflects not only their hard work, but also the tremendous support we receive from our community. Together, they are helping enhance patient care, support important projects and invest in the next generation of health care professionals.”
The Pot O' Gold Raffle is one of several fundraising initiatives led by the volunteers of MyMichigan Medical Center Clare. Through special events, gift shop operations and other fundraising activities throughout the year, volunteers help ensure resources are available to enhance care and improve the patient experience. In recent years, volunteer fundraising efforts have contributed to the Clare Renovation and Expansion Project, helping advance improvements to the Medical Center that will benefit patients and families for generations to come. Volunteers have also invested in the future health care workforce through scholarship funding, recently awarding three scholarships to students attending Mid Michigan College.
“The volunteers at MyMichigan Medical Center Clare are some of the most caring and dedicated people I have the privilege of knowing,” said Becky Church, director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “Through their friendships, service and commitment to our community, they continue to make a lasting difference for patients and families. I am deeply grateful to our volunteers, local businesses and community members who support this raffle each year. Together, they are helping strengthen local health care and creating opportunities for future generations.”
