Bra-La-La Fundraiser Returns October 8 to Support Breast Cancer Awareness and Education

Community members are invited to attend MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin’s Bra-La-La event for an evening of creativity, inspiration, and community support benefiting breast health awareness and education. MyMichigan Health Foundation will host the event on Thursday, Oct. 8, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Riverwalk Place, 777 W. Cedar Ave., in Gladwin.
The unique fundraiser will feature a live and silent auction of artistically decorated bras created by local businesses, organizations, and community members. Each one-of-a-kind design celebrates strength, hope, and survivorship, while helping spark important conversations about breast health.
Past Bra-La-La Fundraiser Entries
Breast cancer affects individuals and families throughout the community, and Bra-La-La aims to raise awareness about the importance of regular screenings, early detection and ongoing education. Funds raised during the event will support MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin’s Breast Health fund, which helps provide access to breast cancer screening services.
“We are excited to bring the community together for an event that is both meaningful and memorable,” said Kelsey Killinger, director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “The creativity of the bra designs makes this event fun and engaging, while also helping us start important conversations about breast health and raise funds that can make a meaningful difference for patients in our community.”
Area businesses and community members are encouraged to join in the creative competition by decorating a bra in the theme of their choice. Entries may be submitted by individuals or teams. Bras may be purchased for $25 to decorate and enter the auction. The deadline to submit a decorated bra is Friday, Sept. 24, 2026. Entries will be displayed in the Riverwalk Place atrium beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 6, through the day of the event.
Tickets to attend Bra-La-La are $50 per person and include admission to the event, two drink tickets and a variety of hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds will benefit MyMichigan Medical Center Gladwin’s Breast Health Fund.
