Certification for Ravel Strengthens Behavioral Health Care Team
Manda Ravel, L.M.S.W.-C.
Manda Ravel, L.M.S.W.-C., recently achieved Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) certification, becoming the only EMDR certified therapist at MyMichigan Health.
EMDR is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals safely process distressing memories and reduce the emotional impact. With this advanced credential, Ravel offers EMDR services to patients at the MyMichigan Health Park West Branch for specialized trauma care seamlessly alongside primary and specialty medical providers. In addition, she provides specialized outpatient behavioral health care for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, as well as other concerns related to emotional well‑being.
Ravel’s achievement reflects exceptional dedication to clinical excellence and directly supports MyMichigan’s organizational commitment to high quality, evidence based behavioral health care. This is a milestone that significantly strengthens the trauma informed care provided. Funding for training and supervision was generously provided by Michigan Center for Rural Health through the Rural Community Opioid Response Program grant from the Federal Office of Rural Health Policy.
