Charity Golf Classic Raises $40,000 to Support Local Health Care

The MyMichigan Health Foundation Charity Golf Classic brought together community members, businesses and organizations for a successful day of golf and philanthropy. Twenty-nine teams participated in this year’s outing, raising $40,000 to fund a new laparoscopic surgical system at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas.

Golfers enjoyed a day of friendly competition, contests, raffles and prizes. The first-place team honors were awarded to Remer #2. In addition, several participants were recognized for their accomplishments during the outing. Jessie Siwek and Samantha Travis earned men’s and women’s longest drive honors, while Carl Hubble and Collen Chapleski claimed men’s and women’s closest-to-the-pin awards. Revord Builders on Hole No. 16 and Ben Franklin on Hole No. 7 were recognized as this year’s skins winners.

Additional raffle winners included Nancy Huck, who won the event's 50/50 drawing totaling $920 and generously donated her winnings back to the Foundation. Nikki LaMay was the winner of the lotto board raffle, and Samantha Travis received the back swing raffle prize.
