Community Donors Help Fund New Ultrasound Machines for Medical Centers in Tawas and Standish

Patients receiving imaging services at MyMichigan Medical Centers in Tawas and Standish are benefiting from new, state-of-the-art ultrasound machines made possible through the generous support of community donors to the MyMichigan Health Foundation. The new technology enhances patient care by improving diagnostic capabilities and increasing efficiency for imaging staff at both Medical Centers.
One of the machine’s most significant advantages is its portability, allowing technologists to perform ultrasound examinations at a patient’s bedside rather than transporting patients to the imaging department. This feature improves patient comfort and convenience while streamlining care for those who may be critically ill or have limited mobility.
The system also includes advanced Scan Assist technology, which helps standardize and simplify ultrasound examinations. This enables technologists to complete studies more efficiently while maintaining consistency across exams. In addition, the machine delivers enhanced image quality, providing radiologists with clearer, more detailed images to support accurate and confident diagnoses.

Additionally, the enhanced image quality provides our radiologists with clearer, more detailed images for interpretation, supporting accurate and confident diagnoses. Overall, this ultrasound machine has significantly improved our workflow, enhanced patient experience and increased efficiency throughout our departments.”
