Thelen Subaru and Blood Cancer United Donate Blankets to Comfort Cancer Patients
Thelen Subaru, in partnership with Blood Cancer United – Michigan, donates comfort blankets to cancer patients receiving infusion treatments at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
Cancer patients receiving treatment at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland will experience added comfort thanks to a generous blanket donation from Thelen Subaru and Blood Cancer United – Michigan.
Through Subaru’s Subaru Loves to Care initiative and the support of community partners, dozens of blankets were donated to provide warmth and comfort to patients receiving infusion treatments, including chemotherapy, blood products and other cancer-related therapies.
The blankets will be distributed to patients receiving care through the James T. and Elsa U. Pardee Cancer Wellness Center, helping create a more comforting and supportive treatment experience during what can often be a difficult journey.
“We are deeply touched by the generosity of Thelen Subaru and Blood Cancer United – Michigan,” said Denise O’Keefe, executive director, MyMichigan Health Foundation. “These blankets may seem like a simple gift, but they provide meaningful comfort to patients during long treatment sessions. Acts of kindness like this remind our patients that their community is standing beside them.”
The MyMichigan Health Foundation expressed gratitude to both organizations for their continued commitment to supporting local cancer patients.
“We are incredibly thankful for this thoughtful donation,” said O’Keefe. “Partnerships like these help us enhance the care experience and provide comfort beyond medical treatment. The donation reflects the ongoing dedication of community partners who help ensure patients at MyMichigan receive compassionate, whole-person care.”
