Annemieke De Wilde, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.O.E.M., DipABLM
Cancer survivors and caregivers are invited to attend a free virtual presentation, “Healing to Thriving: A Roadmap for a Healthy Lifestyle for Cancer Survivors and Caregivers,” featuring lifestyle medicine physician Annemieke De Wilde, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.O.E.M., DipABLM. The educational program will be offered on Friday, Oct. 9, and Friday, Nov. 13. Both sessions will take place from Noon to 1 p.m.
While completing cancer treatment is a significant milestone, many survivors discover that recovery continues long after treatment ends. Fatigue, stress, uncertainty, and adjusting to a new normal can present ongoing challenges. This virtual event is designed to help participants better understand the healing process and learn evidence-based strategies for improving health and well-being after cancer.
During the presentation, Dr. De Wilde will share practical insights into how science-backed lifestyle habits can support the body's ongoing healing process, enhance energy levels, and empower survivors and caregivers to move forward with confidence.
“Although cancer may be part of a person's story, it does not define their future,” said Dr. De Wilde. “By focusing on healthy lifestyle habits, survivors and caregivers can take meaningful steps toward improving their overall well-being and quality of life.”
Presentation topics include understanding what science reveals about how the body continues to heal after cancer treatment, separating health myths from medical facts and discovering how daily lifestyle choices influence recovery and long-term wellness. Participants will receive practical, realistic habits that can be incorporated into everyday life by survivors and caregivers alike.
