MyMichigan Walk-In Care in Tawas City Moving to New Location July 1
MyMichigan’s Walk-In Care clinic will be relocating to share space with MyMichigan Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at 110 Beech St, Suite A, effective July 1, providing a larger, more comfortable and handicap accessible space with on-site X-ray.
MyMichigan’s Walk-In Care clinic in Tawas City will be relocating to share space with MyMichigan Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at 110 Beech Street, Suite A, effective July 1. Hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“We’re really excited about the change; it’s going to be a much better space for our patients and staff,” said Cheryl Layton, F.N.P.-C., M.S.N., who sees patients at Walk-In Care. “The new location will be handicap accessible, have X-ray on site, and has been newly renovated with more space. Being connected to the orthopedics office is also a big plus to coordinate follow-up care for patients with injuries.”
Walk-In Care (a department of MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas) provides same-day access for non-emergencies when the patient’s regular primary care provider is not available. Patients are seen on a first come, first served basis for treatment of common minor illnesses such as coughs, colds, sore throats, minor burns, rashes or insect bites; eye, ear or urinary tract infections; strains or sprains. For routine physicals or more complex health conditions, patients should schedule an appointment with their primary care provider.
A new feature that launched recently is the ability to check wait times online before heading to the Walk-In Clinic. Wait times and more information about the clinic are available at mymichigan.org/walk-in-tawas.
