Wound Treatment Centers Recognized for Exceptional Care

The Wound Treatment Centers at MyMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Alpena, Clare and West Branch have received both the Center of Distinction and Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence awards from Healogics®, the nation’s largest provider of advanced wound care services.
To earn the Center of Distinction award, each of the four Wound Treatment Centers achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate exceeding 92 percent. This recognition reflects the exceptional care and dedication demonstrated by the centers’ physicians, leaders and clinicians.
In addition, all four centers received the prestigious Robert A. Warriner III, M.D., Clinical Excellence Award, placing them among the top 10 percent of eligible Healogics Wound Care Centers®. The designation is based on comprehensive wound healing rates reported by more than 600 outpatient wound care centers nationwide. The award is named for Dr. Robert A. Warriner III, a pioneer in wound care and former chief medical officer for Healogics. The award recognizes centers that achieve a Wound Adjusted Comprehensive Healing Rate of at least 83 percent or higher for 12 consecutive months.

The Wound Treatment Centers at MyMichigan Medical Centers in Alma, Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Saginaw,* Standish*, Tawas City* and West Branch provide highly specialized care for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, infections and other chronic wounds. Advanced treatment options include negative pressure wound therapy, total contact casting, bioengineered tissue therapies, biosynthetic dressings and growth factor therapies.
The Wound Treatment Centers in Alma, Alpena, Clare, Gladwin, Midland, Saginaw* and West Branch also offer hyperbaric oxygen therapy, which surrounds patients with 100% oxygen to help accelerate wound healing.
