A person’s diet has been found to be a contributing, modifiable risk factor for heart disease. This free educational series is aimed at helping people learn the importance of healthy eating to improve their overall heart health. Each 90-minute class was developed by a registered dietitian nutritionist and includes both an educational component, as well as a cooking demonstration which applies the concepts presented during class.

In this class you will learn:
- How to attain the proper ratio of oil, acid and aromatic herbs to make a delicious salad dressing.
- These homemade salad dressings have the bonus of no added preservatives and much less sodium than would be found in a store-bought dressing. Once you know the basics, the possibilities are endless.
- Recipes will include making four different homemade salad dressing
- How to create your own tasty seasoning blends that are much lower in sodium and free from preservatives and sulfites.
- These blends can be used in a variety of ways, including seasoning meats and vegetables, as well as healthier versions of common seasonings used in things such as tacos.
