Join MyMichigan Health for a lunch and learn program focusing on the use of mindfulness after cancer treatment for patients and their caregivers.
A cancer diagnosis and treatment can bring an avalanche of emotions. Mindfulness is a way to help manage those feelings. It can be a beneficial practice after cancer treatment, as it can help patients and their caregivers cope with the emotional and physical challenges after completing treatment
Join us for this community event as Travis Steinka, O.T.R.L., occupational therapist, MyMichigan Medical Center Midland, will discuss the impact a cancer diagnosis can have on one’s anxiety and how mindfulness can provide some powerful tools to help. Mindfulness can reduce stress and anxiety and improve overall well-being. It is important to remember that mindfulness is a practice, and it may take time to develop a routine that works. Always consult with healthcare professionals to ensure that mindfulness practices complement one’s overall cancer treatment plan.
