After being diagnosed with heart failure, there are a variety of challenges and changes to your lifestyle, and are likely to have many questions regarding how to keep yourself healthy. To assist in this process, MyMichigan Health's Healing Hearts Support Group has expanded, and is working with the Heart Failure Clinic, to create a group geared toward individuals who are living with heart failure.
The group meets monthly and aims to provide encouragement, education and support in addition to serving as a way for patients to meet others who have experienced heart failure.
Each Healing Hearts meeting will feature a guest speaker who will be available to field questions in the areas of cardiovascular medicine, diet, medication management, cardiac rehabilitation, emotional and psychosocial needs and much more.
Future meetings will be designed to meet the group's needs based on feedback received from the group and to address their daily challenges.
Dates: Third Thursday of every month
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
