Healing Hearts Support Group - Midland
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are holding virtual support group meetings. Please call for details.
After undergoing heart surgery, or other heart procedures, you face a variety of challenges and changes to your lifestyle, and are likely to have many questions regarding your post-surgical or post-procedure care.
To assist you in this process, MyMichigan's Cardiac Rehabilitation Department has created a Healing Hearts Support Group geared towards individuals who have had coronary bypass surgery or angioplasty.
The group meets monthly and aims to provide encouragement, education and support, in addition to serving as a way for patients to meet others who have experienced similar health situations.
During Healing Hearts meetings, experts will be available to field questions in the areas of cardiovascular medicine, diet, medication management, cardiac rehabilitation, emotional and psychosocial needs and much more. Upcoming meetings will feature topics including healthy holiday eating habits, how to manage stress and exercising safely to name a few.
Future meetings will be designed to meet the group's needs and and to address their challenges on the road to recovery.
Special appreciation is extended to The Charles J. Strosacker Foundation for the grant they provided to help implement the Healing Hearts Support Group.
