Maria Mencia Cancer Caregiver Support Group - Midland

Support groups provide a helpful way to learn useful information and to connect with others facing similar concerns. Our groups are informal and welcome caregivers of those with cancer, whether family or friend. Meetings provide time for sharing challenges and/or tips for coping. Sessions are led by professional facilitators.

The Maria Mencia Cancer Caregiver Support Network was founded by Luis Mencia of Midland in memory of his late wife, Maria. "If you don't care for yourself, you don't have the capacity to care for your loved one," Mencia said. "My hope is the caregiver network will provide others with the kind of support that I was fortunate to experience throughout my wife's illness."
