Offering a variety of home therapy services for patients in middle Michigan.

MyMichigan Home Care also offers a variety of rehabilitation services including:

• Physical Therapy - includes evaluations and an exercise program to increase range of motion and strength following an injury or medical condition
• Occupational Therapy - includes assessments and a program to assist patients in their ability to participate in activities of daily living
• Speech Therapy - includes evaluations and exercises to assist patients with speech and cognitive deficits
• Stroke Rehabilitation - includes a therapy team and personalized program specific to each patient's unique needs. This in-home therapy service allows the patient to practice skills and develop strategies in their own environment. The therapy team can include:
  • Physical therapists who specialize in motor and sensory impairments, with the goal of restoring movement, balance and coordination.
  • Occupational therapists who help to relearn skills needed for performing activities of daily living such as grooming, preparing meals and house cleaning.
  • Speech-language pathologists who assist in relearning how to use language or develop alternative means of communication. They can also assist with improving ability to swallow and problem-solving skills which can help cope with the after effects of a stroke.
