On My Way
On My Way lets us know you are coming to our emergency department so that we can expedite your registration and check-in process. However please note that we will still follow standard triage guidelines and see patients in order of severity. When you arrive, you will go through registration and triage, and then our trackboard will enable our staff to triage you and other patients according to the severity of your condition and how long you have waited. Your wait time may change if higher severity patients arrive while you are waiting. Your total time spent in the emergency department will depend on several factors including severity and what type of testing, procedures or monitoring we need to provide in order to best care for you.
Do NOT use On My Way if you are having a life threatening emergency, such as heart attack, stroke, major trauma, head injuries, or severe bleeding. For severe emergencies, immediately dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Emergency Department Wait Times
The On My Way map shows an estimated range of average of wait times in each of MyMichigan's Emergency Departments. The wait time does not encompass the entire time spent in the emergency department, but only the time spent waiting for the visit to begin. Individual wait times may be shorter or longer than the estimated average and will depend on several factors including the severity of illness or injury as determined by triage.
