Biography
Shelly Campbell, P.A.-C., specializes in family medicine. She sees patients at several MyMichigan family medicine offices in Bay, Midland and Saginaw counties. She has prior experience as an emergency medicine provider and a registered emergency nurse as well as having worked in intensive and progressive care units and in student and employee health positions.
Philosophy of Care
“Working in Emergency Medicine I saw an overwhelming need for better primary care access,” said Shelly. “In this role that’s what I do. I give patients access. I wanted to expand my medical knowledge and do what I can to service the community.”
“It is important to me to listen to patients. Making them feel heard is a large part of my job.”
“Addressing anxiety about an illness or a disease process is the other way that I can support patients. It’s not just about finding the right medication for them but to make them feel that this is a collaborative relationship in which we work together so that they can live the best life possible. Either by educating or letting them know that they have choices and power over their own bodies it is important that they feel that we are working as a team.”
