Biography
Van Trang Dang, M.D., specializes in Family Medicine. She sees patients at MyMichigan Family Medicine in the Campus Ridge Building in Midland, Michigan.
Philosophy of Care
“I enjoy being able to take care of the whole family, focusing on preventive care,” said Dr. Dang.
“I want to build a collaborative relationship with my patients where I work with them to set their health care goals and then make recommendations based on guidelines to guide them toward better health. I understand that patients may have their own health goals, so I would like to work with patients to meet them where they are at.”
Dr. Dang finds it rewarding to help patients with medical conditions get better, but she also places an emphasis on maintaining wellness.
“A major part of family medicine is preventive care. We are fortunate to have vaccines that have decreased so many preventable illnesses in children and adults. We even have a vaccine that prevents cancer and that is the HPV vaccine!”
In her spare time, Dr. Dang enjoys gardening and crocheting.
“I also enjoy traveling, learning languages and learning about different cultures. For the next few years it is Spanish, but eventually I will get back to learning French.”
