Biography
Erin DeCloux, M.D., specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She sees patients at MidMichigan Medical Center - Mt. Pleasant.
Philosophy of Care
“As an OB/Gyn, I have the opportunity to care for patients in the hospital, deliver babies, perform surgery, and also see patients in an office setting,” said Dr. DeCloux. “I’ve always known that I wanted to focus on women’s health. Obstetrics and gynecology allows me to care for women in multiple different settings throughout all stages of their life.”
“For me, there is nothing more satisfying than being part of a delivery. Watching a mother see and hold her baby for the first time never gets old!”
“I hope to establish a collaborative relationship with all of my patients. I think the best patient-provider relationships are based on mutual respect and understanding.”
“I believe my job is to provide women with accurate medical information so that they can be empowered to make the best decisions for their own health. I strive to be a resource for my patients, so that we can work together to develop a plan for them to reach their health goals.”
“I completed my residency training in a high-volume medical center that focused on practicing evidence-based medicine. I think it’s very important to stay up to date with current guidelines and practices to provide the best possible care for patients.”
“I have a special interest in minimally invasive procedures. I’m excited about advances in laparoscopic surgery because it is a less invasive approach that increases patient safety, decreases hospital admissions post-operatively, and decreases the amount of time patients need to recover.”
“In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Kyle, and our two dogs as well as reading, and camping. We decided to try to visit all of the national parks at least once!”
