Biography
Travis Dice, M.D., is a family medicine physician who sees patients of all ages in Midland. He became interested in the family medicine specialty in medical school. “Family medicine allows many unique opportunities to truly get to know your patients with a wide variety of conditions across all ages,” he said. “I learned to appreciate the opportunity to advocate for my patients and work together to help them achieve a happier and healthier life.”
Dr. Dice and his wife, Paige, grew up together in the Midland area. After completing his residency in southeast Michigan, Dr. Dice is excited to have returned to the area with his family to practice medicine in the community where he was raised.
“While I strongly believe in practicing evidence-based medicine, each patient has unique priorities and beliefs that may need to be taken into consideration when deciding on a treatment plan together,” he said. “I encourage my patients to ask questions about their health care so we can have an open conversation.”
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Dice believes that ‘patient care’ means the patient is actively involved in their health care decision making and has the opportunity for their concerns to be addressed.
He wants his patients to feel comfortable coming in with any health care need and trust that they are receiving the most up-to-date medical care. “I encourage my patients to ask questions and never worry that a concern is too small to deserve a thorough response,” he said.
To Dr. Dice, it’s most satisfying to witness positive changes in a patient’s life, whether it’s through successful treatment of an acute condition or implementing healthy lifestyle changes that have a lasting impact.
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Dice has a special interest in small and large joint injections, trigger point injections, skin biopsies and vasectomies.
In his free time, Dr. Dice enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, woodworking, backyard sports and fantasy football.
