Biography
With more than 20 years of experience, Andrea Donmyer, C.N.M., W.H.N.P.-C., is a certified nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner providing comprehensive care to women throughout the greater Sault region. She is deeply committed to supporting women through all stages of life – especially during pregnancy and birth – and values building lasting relationships within the community.
Philosophy of Care
“I believe care should be patient-driven and provider-guided,” says Andrea. “My goal is to build trusting partnerships that respect how patients see their healthcare. This is especially important in maternity care, where women bring a wide range of approaches and expectations that go beyond simply achieving a healthy outcome.”
Andrea finds great joy in being part of the birth experience and appreciates it when patients return for subsequent pregnancies. In addition to maternity care, she provides a full range of gynecologic services and takes pride in supporting women’s health over time.

Across her career, Andrea has been encouraged by the growing emphasis on improving maternity care through perinatal quality initiatives – efforts focused on reducing unnecessary caesarean deliveries, providing equitable care and minimizing bias. She believes these system-wide improvements are driving better outcomes for families and communities.
