Biography
Heather Fennell, M.D., is a fellowship trained breast surgeon seeing patients at the Pardee Cancer Wellness Center on the campus of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
Philosophy of Care
From a young age, Dr. Fennell was drawn to helping others and knew she wanted a career in medicine. She chose surgery because it allows her to make an immediate and meaningful difference in a patient’s life and disease process. As a breast surgical oncologist, Dr. Fennell values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients, guiding them through a challenging diagnosis with compassion and expertise.
“I strive to be an educator, supporter, and partner in my patients’ care,” she said. “A diagnosis of breast cancer or breast disease can be incredibly stressful and often requires a multidisciplinary approach. As a breast surgeon, I am dedicated to helping patients navigate that process and make informed decisions about their long-term care.”
In addition to performing standard breast procedures, Dr. Fennell also treats breast infections and has a special interest in breastfeeding medicine, providing care for peri- and postpartum mothers.
