Biography

Pankaj Guglani, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pain management specialist with MyMichigan Health’s Spine and Pain Program.

As a pain management physician, Dr. Guglani provides balanced pain management care to diagnose and treat conditions such as neck and back pain, including work-related injuries and sciatica; persistent pain after back or neck surgery; arthritis pain in spine and joints; Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS); nerve damage; muscle spasm pain; shingles pain and headaches.

“I went into the field of pain medicine because I wanted to help individuals reduce their pain and improve their overall quality of life,” he said.

Philosophy of Care

Dr. Guglani believes in a balanced, team approach to patient care. “Our team works together to provide a comprehensive approach to pain management that focuses on restoring patients to the functions of their daily lives,” he added. “We work hard to create trusting and long-lasting partnerships with each of our patients and develop individualized pain management plans to help them reach their individualized goals. The most satisfying aspect of my work is being able to answer my patient’s questions and help them determine the source of their pain. In all aspects of care, I treat my patients with honesty and respect like I would a member of my own family.”

Special Interests and Procedures

Dr. Guglani performs a wide variety of minimally-invasive interventional procedures and holds a special interest in peripheral diabetic neuropathy and spinal cord stimulation.

In his free-time he enjoys running, travel and spending time with his dog.
