Biography

Paige Hingston, P.A.-C., is a physician assistant specializing in neurology. She sees patients in the Orchard Building on the campus of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

Philosophy of Care

“I was initially attracted to neurology because several members of my family have dealt with various neurological symptoms throughout their lives. I have seen how frustrating this can be for those I love, and have become very interested in helping others who experience similar symptoms.”

“My philosophy of care is to treat all patients as if they were my family. By thinking of my patients in this way, I believe I will be a better listener, communicator, caregiver, comforter, and overall provider for all individuals I interact with, including both patients and their families.”

“My hope is that my patients feel comfortable to discuss their concerns with me and feel confident their concerns will be heard and addressed. I want my patients to feel respected, cared for and prioritized.”

“The most satisfying aspect of my work is to see a patient’s relief and happiness when their concerns are heard and addressed. For patients to realize that they are my top priority is a positive experience for the patient, their family and me.”

“As a new graduate, I have recently studied the most up to date information regarding medicine. This also provides me with a fresh outlook on multiple aspects of disease identification and treatment options. I believe I have the tools and the drive to continue to build my base of knowledge throughout my career to better serve my patients.”

Some of the most interesting developments in neurology revolve around the ever-growing understanding of how certain activities affect the working of the human brain, both acutely and chronically. Examples include exercise, smoking, alcohol, illicit drugs, screen time, etc. It is exciting that patients have the opportunity to directly see the affects, both positive and negative, that their life choices can have on their well-being.”

“In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, camping, baking, and crafting.”
