Biography
Susan (Sue) Johnson, M.S.N., C.F.N.P.-B.C., is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. She sees patients at MyMichigan Family Medicine in Tawas City.
Philosophy of Care
A strong desire to help people led Sue originally to begin her nursing career in 1987 and later to advance her role as a family nurse practitioner. She has since been in family practice for more than 20 years.
“I enjoy providing comfort to patients and helping them achieve positive outcomes,” she said. “By focusing on their individual needs and preferences and educating them so they can make informed decisions, I try to create an environment of trust and mutual respect.”
“While it’s important to me to listen well and collaborate with all my patients, I have a special interest in helping the middle-aged to elderly population, as I find I have an affinity to connect well with those age groups.”
Sue’s interests include gardening, camping and spending time with her husband and two very needy labrador retrievers. Between them, she and her husband, Jim, have two daughters and two sons, all grown. She is the proud grandma of two grandchildren and excited to welcome more on the way.
