Biography
Kevin Lawson, M.D., is an orthopedic and spine surgeon with more than 30 years of experience in the treatment of injuries, disorders and diseases of the spine and musculoskeletal system.
Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and fellowship trained in spine surgery, Dr. Lawson has expertise in nonoperative care and surgical interventions for spine, peripheral nerve and hand/wrist conditions. When indicated, he offers minimally invasive and motion sparing surgical treatments for neck, upper and lower back conditions.
Philosophy of Care
“I treat every patient as I would treat a family member,” said Dr. Lawson. “I focus on listening to the patient and understanding their symptoms, then provide appropriate non-operative management when appropriate. If those measures fail, surgical options are discussed with the patient, taking time to explain the recommended procedures along with any alternative approaches.”
Special Interests and Procedures
- Minimally invasive decompressive spinal surgery
- Endoscopically assisted spine interventions
- Cervical and lumbar total disc replacement reconstruction
- Spine deformity surgery for adults
- Peripheral nerve surgery including carpal tunnel release and ulnar nerve entrapments
