Biography
Sharon Levandowski, M.D., is an experienced medical oncologist/ hematologist with the comprehensive cancer care team at MyMichigan Health. This team includes medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, specialized surgeons, interventional radiologists, genetic counselors, as well as breast and lung health navigators.
Dr. Levandowski became interested in medical oncology/hematology because it is a dynamic field with rapid expansion of available treatment options. “I also look forward to the opportunity of having an ongoing relationship with my patients as well as offer comfort to them at difficult times,” said Dr. Levandowski.
Philosophy of Care
“I feel it is my responsibility to listen deeply to each of my patients so we can develop a treatment plan that aligns with their goals of care,” she said. “A cancer diagnosis is personal and emotional, so I will treat each patient as I would my own family members, with compassion and care.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Levandowski has a special interest in the treatment of breast and lung cancer as well as hematologic malignancies. “I’ve seen the advancement over the years of immunotherapy in the treatment of both solid and liquid tumors,” she added.
