Biography
Certified Physician Assistant Crystal Morrissey practices with Family Medicine Physician Michael A. Stack, M.D., at Family Medical Care-Ithaca. Crystal specializes in family medicine and has previous experience working in both urgent care and emergency medicine settings.
Crystal knew from a young age what her chosen career would entail. “Throughout my education I knew that I wanted to care for people,” Crystal said. “I like to get to know my patients and watch their children grow.”
Philosophy of Care
“As a physician assistant, I will always put the patient first, provide physical and emotional comfort, and strive for the highest level of care possible,” Crystal said. “I also make every effort to provide prompt and accurate communication between the patient and myself.”
Crystal encourages her patients to ask questions. “A patient’s understanding of his or her disease and the recommended treatment is crucial,” she said. “The more a patient knows about their condition, the better results we can obtain.” Crystal is committed to educating patients and sharing information. “I want every patient to feel comfortable in every way possible,” Crystal said.
“Forming strong relationships with patients, fellow medical professionals and co-workers is vital to quality patient care.” She believes that frequent, effective communication among health care providers also benefits patients. “I provide regular, detailed reports to other medical professionals who see and treat my patients so they know what I’m doing,” she said. “By communicating and working together, we can ensure that our patients get the best care.”
Crystal welcomes new patients of all ages to the practice she shares with Dr. Stack.
