Biography
Ashley Nardone, D.O., specializes in neurology and neurohospitalist medicine. She sees patients at MyMichigan Neurology in Midland and also provides care for inpatients who are hospitalized with neurologic conditions at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
Philosophy of Care
“Developing a good rapport with my patients is so important, especially to build trust as their physician,” said Dr. Nardone. “I treat the patient as a whole rather than treating them based on a specific test result or imaging.” “It’s rewarding to me when a plan of care has improved my patient’s quality of life and I can observe positive outcomes during patient follow up.” “I liked everything about medicine, but I was particularly attracted to neurology because I have always enjoyed puzzles, and neurology is like a giant puzzle you work to piece together,” she added. “Every day is completely different and challenging. There are some situations where I need to make split second decisions and others where I am able to establish long term relationships with my patients and be an ongoing part of their care team.” “Neurology is an ever-evolving field with exciting developments that are making neurological conditions much more manageable. For example, we have new treatments for migraines such as CGRP inhibitors that are well tolerated and have helped a lot of people.” During her free time, Dr. Nardone enjoys traveling, spending time with her two dogs, being outside (especially at the beach), reading and spending time with family.
