Biography
Michael Paulsell, M.D., is a board certified general surgeon with advanced training in surgical treatment of conditions and diseases of the esophagus, stomach, colon, gallbladder, hernia repairs and treats disease involving the skin, breast and soft tissue, as well as wound care treatment. Dr. Paulsell performs both laparoscopic and open surgery.
“In our field of study we develop a broad-base of knowledge but it is ever changing and challenging, especially when treating cancer. The field of cancer is always evolving with new treatment protocols, studies and therapies. “I’m always satisfied when I can see my cancer survivor patients come in when they are 15 years out from surgical treatment, “ said Dr. Paulsell.
“I chose the field of general surgery so that I could work with my hands and have the opportunity to have an immediate and direct impact on patient’s lives,” he said.
Philosophy of Care
“I believe medicine is a calling, not just a career,” Dr. Paulsell said. “My philosophy of care is always keeping my patients at the center of my efforts.”
“We are fortunate to have excellent physicians in our rural community and I strive to provide excellent care, so that patients can stay in their homes and have the support of family and friends,” he said.
