Biography
Gregory Pellizzon, M.D., is a is a board-certified Interventional cardiologist with MCVI. He is a member of the comprehensive heart and vascular team at MyMichigan Health. This team includes cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, heart failure and structural heart specialists, as well as vascular and cardiovascular surgeons. “My interest in science and engineering, combined with a passion for helping others, is what drew me to the field of medicine,” he said.
As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Pellizzon works with patients who have cardiac-related conditions such as coronary artery disease, atherosclerosis, peripheral vascular disease, valvular and structural heart disease, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, congenital heart defects and other complex cardiac conditions.
Philosophy of Care
“Building relationships with my patients is the most rewarding part of my work,” he said. “I focus on listening first to identify their specific needs. We then review all available treatments to develop a collaborative plan of action.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Pellizzon provides expert care for general adult cardiology patients, with a specialized focus on interventional procedures. He is highly skilled in coronary and peripheral arterial interventions, as well as advanced noninvasive cardiac and vascular diagnostics.
In his free-time, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and boating.
