Biography
Senthil Ramaiyah, M.D., is a nephrologist who sees patients in Midland. “Early in my training, I saw nephrologists as the quarterbacks of medicine - taking care of complex patients in the hospital, coordinating care between other major specialties and championing the patient,” he said. “In the outpatient setting, I saw nephrologists as the key bridge between primary care providers advocating for health, well-being and preventive care and other specialties focused on specific disease management.”
Philosophy of Care
“I take a holistic approach to overall patient care and well-being, including addressing their metabolic and cardiovascular health,” said Dr. Ramaiyah. “I treat the patient, not their lab work.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Dr. Ramaiyah has a special interest in chronic kidney disease management, hypertension, kidney dialysis, pre- and post-transplant work up, Lupus and other glomerulonephritis, recurrent kidney stones and electrolyte disorders.
