Biography
Stacey Stefansky, D.P.M., is a boardcertified podiatrist with 25 years of experience. She is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons with special interests in diabetic care, wound care, limb salvage, primary podiatric medicine and surgery. Dr. Stefansky treats patients at the specialty care office located at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas. She also sees patients in her Saginaw office and is affiliated with the wound care centers at MyMichigan Medical Centers in Tawas and Saginaw.
Philosophy of Care
Dr. Stefansky takes a patient-centered approach to the care of individuals’ feet and ankles, ensuring treatment is personalized to each person and their specific needs.
“I practice a hands-on approach in the care of my patients,” said Dr. Stefansky. “Whether it’s preventive care, diagnosis or advanced treatment, I use the latest technology and treatment methods to achieve the best outcomes. I take great care to ensure patients have a thorough understanding of their treatment plan including all conservative and surgical options. It’s important they know their options and, together, we can determine the best treatment approach to help resolve their foot care needs.”
Born and raised in Southeastern Michigan, Dr. Stefansky earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Physiology from Michigan State University before completing podiatric training at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a three-year surgical residency at the Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Stefansky practiced in Florida for five years before returning to Michigan to continue her podiatric surgical career. She previously served as the chief of podiatry and director of the podiatric surgical residency program at Henry Ford Providence Hospital in Southfield and Henry Ford Providence Park Hospital in Novi.
Dr. Stefansky also provides specialized care for chronic and non-healing wounds at the Wound Care Centers at MyMichigan Medical Center Towne Centre in Saginaw and MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas.
