Philosophy of Care
“I enjoy working with all age groups as a first-line resource for members of a community,” said Katie. “I help patients determine what their individual wellness looks like and work alongside them to preserve and promote their wellness goals by practicing evidence-based medicine.” “I want to be a dependable resource my patients can turn to in times of need. I do this by getting to know my patients and what drives them and by building a close, trusting relationship with them. I want my patients to feel I am standing next to them to help guide them through their health journeys and their hardships, while also celebrating with them in the joys that life brings.” “I try to be a good, non-judgmental listener who will provide high quality care for my patients and connect them with those who can provide more specialized care when appropriate.” Katie was born and raised a “Yooper,” originally from Ishpeming, Michigan. She is a former collegiate runner who continues to remain active through running, lifting weights, hiking and walks with her golden retriever, Referee. “I enjoy picking beach glass along Lake Superior, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and family, and sharing my life with my husband.” Katie’s husband, Dylan is finishing physical therapy school, and she is the proud aunt of two young nephews who live in Central Michigan.
