Philosophy of Care
“At its core, family medicine relies on building relationships with your patients and making healthcare decisions together over a lifetime,” he said. “As a general practitioner, I get to be ‘every kind of doctor’ for a patient given their needs. Throughout the course of any given day, I can be a pediatrician, an orthopedist, a psychiatrist, a cardiologist, etc., and that variety and ability to care for a patient across different issues keeps my days exciting and me looking forward to them.”
“I care the most about shared decision making. My patients and I discuss and get to a plan together that we are both happy with, which gives us the best chance of success. I also take pride in exhausting my own abilities within the setting of a patient-centered home before reaching for specialists and expert opinions.”
