Philosophy of Care
“Family medicine is the most fascinating specialty,” Jamie said. “The diverse patients and variety of concerns make every day exciting. Building a long-term relationship with my patient and their families is very rewarding. Family medicine offers me the privilege to provide the most comprehensive care.”
“I am devoted to providing high quality, cost-effective, comprehensive care to all patients. I partner with them to achieve their optimal health, prevent diseases, and alleviate acute concerns.”
“I want to work with patients to accomplish their personal goals. I hope to empower them with the best medical information and foster open communication, trust, and respect. I recognize that patients have unique needs, which will change as they age. I will provide dynamic care according to these changes.”
“I always loved being a student, and learning new things. Practicing medicine allows me to be a lifelong learner and continuously engage in new aspects of patient care.”
Jamie is board certified and graduated from Central Michigan University’s Physician Assistant program, which is well known for developing very competent providers. She has a caring bedside manner, having been a registered nurse for more than 15 years prior to becoming a physician assistant.
“It is easy for patients to build a relationship with me because of my empathy, cultural sensitivity, compassion, and nonjudgmental personality.”
Women’s health holds a special place in Jamie’s heart due to a personal experience.
“I lost a best friend of 20 years to a preventable death related to woman’s health. She was my inspiration to provide preventive medicine.”
Jamie’s hobbies include camping, swimming, running, gardening and spending time with family, which includes her spouse Matt, a 20-year-old son and two daughters ages 11 and eight.
