Biography
Jordan Zempel, F.N.P.-C., is a certified family nurse practitioner who specializes in orthopedic surgery. He treats general orthopedic patients and is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injuries, disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
Jordan chose to go into the field of medicine because he is passionate about helping people improve their health and quality of life. “My background as a physical therapy assistant sparked my interest in musculoskeletal care and gave me a strong foundation in helping patients recover function and mobility,” he said. “I was drawn to orthopedics because I enjoy working with patients to reduce pain, restore movement, and support them in returning to the activities they value. I also appreciate the collaborative, hands-on nature of the specialty and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact throughout the recovery process.”
Philosophy of Care
According to Jordan, his philosophy of care is to provide patient-centered, evidence-based treatment that focuses on both function and the whole person. “In orthopedics, I prioritize helping patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and safely return to their daily activities,” he added. “I take a holistic approach by considering the injury, as well as each patient’s lifestyle, goals, and overall well-being. I value clear communication, shared decision-making, and compassion to support long-term recovery and prevention, while ensuring each patient feels informed and involved in their care.”
Special Interests and Procedures
Jordan is especially interested in musculoskeletal conditions that focus on improving function, mobility, and return to activity. “My background in physical therapy has given me a strong foundation in conservative and rehabilitative care, and I value a stepwise, evidence-based approach,” he said. “I am particularly interested in evaluating and managing common orthopedic conditions such as joint pain, overuse injuries, sprains/strains, and post-operative care. I also have a strong focus on patient education, injury prevention, and optimizing non-operative treatment options to support the best possible functional outcomes.”
