June & Gerald Kramer Memorial Education Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

• Be a resident of Alpena, Alcona, Montmorency or Presque Isle County
• Accepted into a program in the field of nursing or direct patient care. Students in the pre-program stage or not yet accepted into their program of study are not eligible.
• Be enrolled in an accredited Michigan college or university
• GPA must be 3.0 or higher
• Provide one letter of recommendation
• Submit an official or unofficial transcript
• You must demonstrate financial need by providing your Student Aid Report
• Upon program completion, applicant willing to accept employment, if offered, at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena

Electronic applications for the upcoming school year will be accepted beginning January 1 of each year with the deadline of April 1. Applications and support documentation will only be accepted electronically. To apply, complete the following steps:

1. Complete the online June & Gerald Kramer Memorial Education Scholarship. Please click submit button only once.
2. You will receive email confirmation that application has been received.
3. Submit required documentation to kramer.scholarship@mymichigan.org
   • Subject Line - First & Last Name - Kramer Scholarship Application
   • Please submit the following as attachments to the email:
     • One (1) recommendation letter
     • A current transcript including your cumulative GPA and most recently completed semester grades
     • A copy of your letter of acceptance to your health care related program

All items of the application are due in full by April 1. Applicants can anticipate a response regarding the status of their applications during the month of June. Any questions can be sent to kramer.scholarship@mymichigan.org.
