MyMichigan Medical Center Midland Volunteer Scholarship

The purpose of the MyMichigan Medical Center Midland Volunteers Endowed Scholarship Fund is to support annual health care education scholarships of at least $1,800 to a Midland County resident or employee of MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

This annual scholarship will be awarded to at least one selected student who attends any Michigan community college or university, has completed at least one semester of college or university education, or the equivalent of, and whose primary course study is in the health care field. Students must demonstrate satisfactory academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.

Consideration will be given to applicants who currently work or volunteer at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.

Who Should Apply?

  • Nontraditional students are encouraged to apply as are those pursuing entry-level healthcare careers requiring an associate or baccalaureate degree.
  • Applicants who have been accepted into a post-graduate medical curriculum will also be considered and previous recipients of this scholarship may reapply.
  • Excluded areas of study are health care administration, dental, chiropractic, and any other nonclinical health care role such as accounting, public relations, marketing, etc.

Application Process

Electronic applications for the upcoming school year will be accepted beginning January 1 of each year with the deadline of April 1. Applications and support documentation will only be accepted electronically. To apply, complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the online MyMichigan Medical Center Midland Volunteers Scholarship Application. Please click submit only once.
  2. You will receive email confirmation that application has been received.
  3. Submit required documentation to midlandvolunteerscholarship@mymichigan.org.

    • Please submit the following as attachments to the email:
      • One (1) recommendation letter (within the last 24 months)
      • A current transcript including your cumulative GPA and most recently completed semester grades (formal or informal)
