The Chemotherapy & Infusion Center is staffed with registered nurses and pharmacists who specialize in outpatient intravenous care. There are 16 chairs and 3 private rooms to deliver infusion services to MyMichigan Health outpatients in the Midland area.
Services provided vary by location but may include:
- Intravenous fluids for re-hydration
- Antibiotics
- Chemotherapy
- Specialty medications
And targeted therapies to treat a variety of conditions including:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Crohn’s disease
- Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
- Immune disorders
Supportive care for blood disorders is also provided, including:
- Blood and platelet transfusions
- Intravenous iron replacement
In addition to infusions, the nurses are available to assist with dressing changes, maintenance and care for central lines and implanted ports, as well as obtaining blood specimens for laboratory tests that may be ordered.
