Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is one of the most advanced imaging tools available today. MRI is commonly used to view the brain, spinal cord, bone and joints – as well as other body parts. It is a diagnostic exam that does not use X-rays or radiation.
MyMichigan Health offers a Siemens Espree 1.5T scanner with an extra large opening, making it more comfortable for larger and claustrophobic patients. In addition, this scanner’s powerful field strength makes it possible to reduce scan times and increase image quality.
