Nuclear Medicine is a branch of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive materials, or radiopharmaceuticals, to examine bodily functions and to diagnose and treat disease.
- A provider order is required to schedule testing.

- MyMichigan Medical Center Sault offers the following nuclear medicine services:
- Bone scans – three phase, whole body, SPECT/CT
- Gallbladder (HIDA) scan
- Gastric emptying
- Kidney (renal) scan
- Liver-spleen scan
- Lung V/Q scan
- MUGA scan
- Nuclear stress testing (exercise and Lexiscan)
- Parathyroid SPECT/CT scan
- Thyroid uptake & scan
