To support the comprehensive orthopedics and sports medicine services offered at MyMichigan Health Park Bay, MyMichigan has assembled an experienced team of physical therapists. Orthopedics and Sports Medicine

Orthopedic rehabilitation provides treatment for patients with arthritis or other chronic conditions, as well as post-surgical and injury recovery. MyMichigan physical therapists are experts in body mechanics and movement science. They design individualized treatment programs. Post-surgical rehabilitation assists patients in returning to daily activities after joint injury or replacement, muscle and joint injuries, shoulder, arm, hand, knee, ankle and hip surgeries.

WellSport

In addition to injury prevention, MyMichigan’s WellSport Program is designed to help expedite the assessment, referral and treatment of athletes of all ages suffering from strains, sprains, contusions, fractures, joint injuries and concussions. The program focuses on injury prevention through education and training, helping injured athletes return to play as safely and quickly as possible, as well as managing medical conditions that can affect performance.

Spine Care

Innovative spine care management focuses on pain control, strengthening for recovery of specific functions, conditioning for return to activity, education for injury prevention and postural retraining. Each case requires an individualized approach. At MyMichigan, we have experienced and skilled therapists with specialization in a variety of treatment approaches. We also have several focused programs to meet specific needs.

  • Physical therapists with training in manual therapy combine biomechanics, exercise and functional activity to address your pain and promote return to normal activity.
  • Physical therapists specially trained in headache management provide rehabilitation for head and neck pain.
